Sorry I didn't post yesterday, just couldn't get five minutes to myself. Get a day off & its running here, there and everywhere, it would be nice to just sit & slob for once :)
I know I swore in the title, but spring will be here soon & buying cleaning products is so expensive for that big clean. So, firstly find out what you actually have. How many times have you bought an extra product because it was very cheap and put it in the cupboard, then it gets pushed further & further to the back. Get it all out, including the stuff you've stashed in the garage or shed because you had no room left in the cleaning cupboard. Make a list of what you have & what you need, then start trawling the internet for money off coupons, you don't want to pay more than you have to.
A good place for coupons are http://www.supersavvyme.co.uk/tag/coupon for P&G products & of course Total Couponery on FB
I cleared out my cupboard two weeks ago, good or what? Not really the new washing machine was being delivered & the cupboard is half blocked by the machine, so when I pulled out the old one I thought what a good time for a clear out, and I couldn't believe it I had 5 bottles of bleach right at the back, but in my defence it is a very large cupboard I have an older property & its the old larder. So now I have an up to date list of what I actually have.
To my shock & horror I'd run out of sugar soap. Normally associated with cleaning before decorating, but whats to stop you from using it to clean the woodwork & walls its an excellent de-greaser and a little goes a long way. Also there is the added bonus of you don't have to do the painting afterwards just because you've used sugar soap ;)
Heres a bargain for you Morrisons have E45 cream at half price at the moment down to £1.10, heres a £1 coupon for you, making it a mega bargain at 10p for the cream.

2nd February 2014 - Window Sill Lettuce
Thought the day was going to be bad today when I overslept. Get to work & my entry card won't work! Luckily the bread delivery had just arrived so I sneaked through the warehouse gates, so that wasn't too bad. Why do people whinge at work? My attitude is no matter whats going on in your life outside of work, leave it at the door and enjoy the fact that you have job. If you hate it that much get another job - Good Luck with that one.
Right now for a cheap healthy tip - How many times have you bought a lettuce & thrown half of it away just because you don't eat it all before it went yuck? Well grow your own all year round on the window sill. All you need is a margarine tub, some dirt & seeds. The seeds are a bit of an outlay at first about 99p, but bear in mind you get about 1,000 in each pack so they are going to last a long time. So when you fancy something to liven up that boring cheese sandwich just pick a few leaves of your very own home grown, no chemicals added, organic lettuce.
Just be careful, if the window sill is in direct sunlight all day you run the risk of burning the leaves.
If you want some sweetcorn to go with the lettuce try some green giant large tins from Morrisons which are 50p at the moment, use the link below for a 30p coupon - so makes it a mega bargain at 20p

Saturday 1st February 2014 - Save at Harvester
I can't believe it, its my day off and it isn't raining, the sun is shining so looks like I will be gardening today :)
COUPONS - never be embarrassed to use them they might only save you a small amount each time, but add them up over the year & they could save you a lot.
I always used coupons if I found them in the junk mail, but thanks to Amanda I got back into doing it seriously this year. In January I saved £17.20 using coupons for things I would have bought anyway at full price. Doesn't sound a lot? but it's half a tank of petrol for my small car and if I did that every month for a year that's a massive £206.40 that I didn't spend, just by cutting out a piece of paper. Be careful DON'T buy something you don't need just because you have a coupon, that's just a waste of money if your not going to use it.
You can find coupons in so many places, but my favourite is the internet. On FB there is a page called Total Couponery where you can find lots of links to coupons & advice on how to beat the system to get better bargains. With over 1,000 likes to this page there are a lot of followers who also post links to coupons & bargains they have found. So why not take a look!!
REMEMBER - only hand over coupons to the cashier that you have purchased the product for, if you try & use coupons when you don't have the product this is called FRAUD.
I will try & post at least one coupon or saving everytime I add to my blog. I want you all to save money or rather not to part with your hard earned cash.
Want to go out for a meal but don't fancy paying full price, well get The Daily Express newspaper today and cut out the coupon for 20% off your food bill at The Harvester.
Also in the Express there is a coupon for a FREE bag of Walker Sensations crips (Sweet Thai Chilli) from Budgens or Londis.
If you get The Mirror there is a coupon for a FREE Weetabix On The Go drink from Londis.
